Masterclass: Navigating Burgundy with Peter Wasserman

Date: 18th December 2014

With the recent surge in the interest on Burgundy wines, we’ve decided to fly Peter Wasserman, a true Burgundy-insider, all the way to Hong Kong to conduct a series of seminars just for you! This is a great opportunity to learn and discover the charm of Burgundy, and attempt to understand why this region is considered by many, the ‘Holy Grail’ of wines. No matter if you’re a total beginner, a casual drinker who wants to know what to order from a wine list, a wine-lover who is just starting to get into Burgundy, or an absolute Burgundy-maniac like myself, we’ll all have something new to learn about this fascinating region.

Peter is the son of pioneer wine importer Becky Wasserman. He grew up in Burgundy and began tasting with his parents at a very young age. Peter is a true insider who grew up in Burgundy and went to school with many superstar winemakers of today. I’m sure he’ll have many interesting stories to share. With his unique upbringing, one could say Burgundy runs in his veins.

There will be a total of 3 Masterclasses on Dec 18-20th. We have chosen the tasting wines for you very carefully – giving us a chance to compare different plots/producers/vintages/classifications. Represented here are some of the very top wines in the region, from producers such as Coche Dury, Roulot, Leflaive, Armand Rousseau, Vogue, Dujac and Ponsot.

All paired with a wonderful dinner at Amuse Bouche.
