Currently I think Chateau Latour a Pomerol offers very serious Pomerol at comparatively very modest prices. The 2001 at a recent lunch offered a seductive, svelte expression of Pomerol. I have a particular affection too for this chateau Ethe 1983 was the very first claret I tried, back in 1992, and it made quite an impression too! I'm delighted that J-P Moueix are providing 2005, 2001, 2000, 1998, 1990, 1989 directly ex-chateau cellars. I have sourced the classic 1964, 1959, and 1955, and further vintages will be announced.
