Linden Wilkie – your local guide
for New Zealand

Linden gained his passion for wine
while at university in Christchurch,
New Zealand, in the early 1990s. While
there he became president of his university’s
wine club, conducting a number of tastings
with local wine makers. He also worked
as a gueridon waiter and wine waiter
at the prestigious Canterbury Tales
restaurant.
A corporate career took him first
to Wellington, and then to Auckland
enabling him to explore the North
Island’s wine regions in some
detail – and of course to dine
in yet more restaurants! Linden also
has family living in the Central Otago
wine region, where Linden has visited
often.

Linden’s experience with the wines and
regions of New Zealand, his friendship with
many of its wine people, and his years of
dining in New Zealand’s restaurants
make him the right guide for this tour. His
sense of fun, enthusiasm for wine, food, travel
