(Harvest in Sauternes began 27 Sep and into the driest Oct on record)
Deep gold with an amber core; rich aroma, caramelly and with just a touch of VA, quite complex; rich, and that old-wine thick texture, caramelly, but still with acidity, though this is starting to dry out a little. Still ‘alive’ and quite enjoyable, but not as great as had been hoped for.
