Fruit from the Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and Coonawarra. 100% shiraz, matured 18 months in new American oak hogsheads.
Youthful, deep black cherry with bright rim; toasty nose – oak, ripe fruit and roast meat aromas – still primary; super-ripe and concentrated, palate-coating fruit with licorice notes on the finish. Powerful, concentrated, balanced and in need of further cellaring to knit together, which this should do.
