Deep ruby / cherry with development on the rim; very irony nose, forthcoming, with ripe dark fruits and mineral; rich, thick-textured muscular Pétrus, tannic, brooding and long. Fairly closed, showing power now, but will need time to be appreciated as there is enough density of fruit for this to open up. (2 hours later much more approachable, and that chocolate note on the finish – so if you cannot wait, you must decant in advance).
