From a hot vintage.
Opaque, bright ruby at the very edge - very dense; opulent, American oak and cassis, roast meat and tapenade - very sweet aromas, but some complexity; realy opulence on the palate, a rich entry, plenty of ripe fruit tannin, lots of fruit and extract, lush, and then some American oak noticeable on the finish. A very big, ripe wine bulldozed the food.
