2ème Cru Classé, St Julien
Deep, youthful black cherry, glass staining and with a bright youthful rim; lovely ripe aromas, pure dark small berries and cherry compote, plus mineral complexity; thick-textured on the palate, concentrated, yet fine, balanced acidity and very fine velvet tannin in abundance on the long finish. This is fantastic. It is so balanced and fine that with decanting it could be enjoyed now, but it is so youthful and has yet to reveal its true potential. Monumentally good.
