(Harvest 17 Oct ~ 29 Oct; 12hl/ha; 14.4% abv; 106g/l res)
The lightest colour of the ’90, ’89, ’88 trio; slightly earthy aromas and a grassy (but ripe) note; on the palate this is unevolved, restrained, but concentrated, and super-fine. It doesn’t have the richness and exuberance of either the ’90 or the ’89, but it is supremely elegant and long. The ’88 requires more time in the cellar. Fantastic, and my wine of the night.
