Youthful dark cherry colour, semi-opaque; fragrant, youthful perfumed nose – cherry and floral; delicious fruit on the palate, still very primary, and with the oak still to marry properly. This is very fine, rich yet restrained, with power and elegance combined and a long, long finish. A more expressive style than the Musigny vintages to come in this tasting, and so perhaps a slight change in style, or the wine not yet shutting down. Either way, and excellent example.
