Amber mature colour, light and clear; ripe, mature, expressive aromas – red fruits and sous bois; ripe, generous fruit and smoothness to its texture, this is a lovely wine showing all its glory now. Slightly warm on the finish (large crop and probably a little chaptalization – this was the last wine of the previous régime), this follows on with a deliciously complex aftertaste. From this tasting, clearly the wine to take to dinner!
