Mid+ ruby, a surprising level of colour development – i.e. more evolved than the ’94 and ’93; lifted on the nose and quite sweet with a gingerbread quality; sweet entry, turning firm on the palate, prominent acidity, a little closed down and tannic on the finish. Awkward for now. (?)
