Deep colour, like the 1979 but with more ruby in the core; lovely sweetness on the nose with savoury notes and medicinal notes emerging, as well as new leather – complex; well balanced and delicious, complex, fleshy, its tannic finish in balance. Not the power of the 1979 or 1975 but better balance, and quite expressive.
