Almost opaque – an amazing colour, but showing considerable colour development on the rim; a bit closed on the nose – leather and brambly fruit with some swirling of the glass; very rich on the palate – lovely lovely sweetness on entry, and typically (’75) monstrous tannins on the finish. But the tannins are ripe, and the wine has power and richness to keep this in balance. Quite a wine.
