Mature appearance – a ruby core with a developed rim; sweet, fragrant lifted nose, mature and pleasing with notes of sweet herbs, mineral and game; lovely soft sweetness on the palate, moderate to light concentration, slightly cheesy, but sweet and together. There is a sense of leanness and dilution from the poor vintage, and a touch of a metallic taste on the finish, but overall this is a very nice, mature wine.
