Healthy ruby core with a fine, developed rim; intense, very sweet aroma, candied fruits and Christmas spices, as well as notes of earth, mushroom and leather – very complex nose; rich, fine, lovely balance and flavour and length. Elegant and fleshy. More savoury than the 1989, and I prefer it.
