2ème Cru Classé, St Julien
Good ruby core with some maturity on the rim; open, cedary and iodine nose; classic left-bank claret on the palate, ripe and fully evolved, but with the acidity and tannins beginning to 'poke through' the fruit on the finish. I got the sense that the fruit is dropping, and that this should be drunk up. Nonetheless, good drinking now.
