A fairly deep colour for 1985 Pomerol, with some maturity showing on the rim. Very good aromatics – sweet fleshiness of ripe merlot and cabernet franc, but mixed with fresh herbs, and a touch of meatiness. Lovely full sweet fruit on the palate, voluptuous, but with a fine tannin structure, which slightly dominates the finish. Nonetheless, long and delicious. Drink Now-2008.
