Chambolle-Musigny evokes Burgundy at its most perfumed and beguiling – in many ways, the
epitome of Burgundy’s special place in the world of fine wine. Beneath that macro view lies a
tapestry of complexity, and what better way to uncover that than a dinner focusing on its range of
terroirs and expressions. To that end this evening we will look at 12 different Chambolle-Musigny
1er Cru vineyards, and to Chambolle’s most emblematic grand cru – Musigny, all led by leading
Burgundy expert Allen Meadows. Further, to allow us to really dial in the differences between
vineyards, we will explore Chambolle in one single vintage – 2017, appreciated today for its
openness and its terroir transparency. Wines from Chambolle-Musigny’s star producers line up in
this dinner – Roumier, Mugnier, de Vogüé, Groffier, Barthod, Amiot-Servelle… 13 producers in fact,
so this dinner further provides a survey of domaine styles within Chambolle.
An evening of Chambolle-Musigny 1er Crus is always going to be one of pleasure. With insights
from Allen Meadows, there is also much to be learned for novice and connoisseur alike.
