When the iconic Bernard Van Berg retired and sold his Meursault estate he decided to pass the torch to a young winemaker capable of filing these big boots: Tino Kuban. After working in prime estates in South Africa ( Mullineux), New Zealand ( Burn Cottage, Felton Road and Sato) , Jura ( Tournelle and Overnoy) Tino decided to establish himself in Burgundy. He took over Van Berg’s 1.5ha in Meursault and renamed it “Les Jardins Vivants”. He carried on with his very meticulous, low yield approach using no sulphites during ageing and a only a tiny dose during bottling.

At the same time, Tino developed his négoce Maison Glandien in Meursault. Tino here acts He buys grapes in Burgundy, but also in Beaujolais, in the Jura and in Alsace. He sources grapes only from suppliers who meet his extremely high quality standards.

Both Jardins Vivants and Maison Glandien are extremely rare and some of the most sought after wines in Burgundy.
